The Israeli Semiconductor Club
The Israeli Semiconductor Club (ISC) was initiated by Chiportal – the leading web portal of the Israeli microelectronics industry in early 2010. The mission of the club is to enable senior executives from the local microelectronics industry to meet on a regular basis, to exchange ideas with their colleagues, get updates on what is happening in the industry and learn from the experience of others.
The need for ongoing meetings came from the industry and is especially important during this period that sets technological and economic challenges to all companies involved with the microelectronics ecosystem. These companies are forced to cope with the considerable increase in the development and production costs and to find creative solutions with limited budgets and reduced resources.
The club holds quarterly meetings which bring together about 200 senior executives for a valuable networking and constructive discussions on the actual challenges of the microelectronics industry. In addition, the club hosts key figures from the local political and business worlds and allow its members to enhance their understandings of the latest developments in these areas.
The club is specifically aimed for Executive leaders – CEOs, Chairmen, CTOs, COOs, Vice Presidents of Operations, and Vice Presidents of Engineering from companies involved with the microelectronics industry as well as Partners/Executives from the venture capital community.
The club agenda is set by a professional steering committee which consists of several key figures from leading multinational microelectronics companies as well as CEOs of major local fabless companies, academy professors and partners in VC funds.
Each club meeting is dedicated to a specific topic and divided into two major parts:
Executive Networking - Great networking opportunities for microelectronics professionals from the various companies involved with the local community.
Speaking session – short lectures or panel discussions by senior figures from the microelectronics industry and special guests.
